Since its establishment in 1948 on Palestinian land, Israel has remained a focal point of Arab attention due to the Palestinian cause. Over the years, it has been involved in several conflicts, including the occupation of Sinai in 1967, Egypt’s victory in the October War of 1973 and the subsequent recovery of Sinai, culminating in the raising of the Egyptian flag over Taba in 1989. The most recent of these conflicts is the Gaza War, which began in October 2023 and has triggered tensions that threaten regional and Egyptian security.
In this context, the Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies has published the book “Israel from Within” to shed light on the components of Israel’s comprehensive power, and to explore how security influences its politics and society. The Center presents this publication as part of its effort to provide in-depth analysis on key regional issues.
